A Critics Thought...
7 out of 10
Team MovieTradition's Thoughts on:
Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann star in the story of a famous comedian who has a near-death experience... and what he does with a second chance. Director Judd Apatow addresses a question that hasn't before been touched with such trademark bluntness: If you had the chance to start all over again, would you be the same jerk you always were?
MovieTradition gives funny people a 7 out of 10. Funny People succeeded in humor and also added a hint of heartfelt emotion throughout the entire film, although there are a few things that could have easily been different making it a much better film. The over abundant droppings of the F-Bomb were really unnecessary and at some point in the movie became kinda of cliche'ish and annoying. This film is recommened for the older more mature crowd. MovieTradition recommends that a group/friend setting is better for this film. Leave all of the dating and pure family fun films to many of the other films playing. So grab some buddies and go catch this movie, your sure to laugh a few times!
